One M-size male shirt was repaired and reworked into a shapeshifting shirt dress with hand-crochet lace additions and a cotton plisse deadstock fabric extension. The lower part extension has a body-type closure and can be arranged as a short dress. Different fabric is applied to the collar and cuffs as those are the main stress areas for a shirt. These parts are rescued from boxes of unwanted items of friends and neighbors after they have decluttered their wardrobes or from local thrift stores. The item can not be reproduced identically with respect to the type of fabrics and their exact arrangement nor to the seams' irregularities. Each piece is individually cleaned, laid out, and cut at the Common studio and finished locally in Romania. Each garment comes with an individual tag that tells the story of the included parts, handwritten by the designer.
