Parts of a formal jacket from the man's department, fabric scraps front central zipper insert, and wasteart applique in 'moving' upcycled fabric. The wasteart fabric is made of layers of lining, fabric cuts arranged in an artful manner, and transparent fabric leftovers that are sewn together in a capitonee' technique. Due to the sewing technique, the filling made of irretrievable scraps is changing its arrangement with each move. These parts are scraps resulting from the industrial cutting process at the clothing factories or parts rescued from boxes of unwanted items of friends and neighbours after they have decluttered their wardrobes or from local thrift stores. The item can not be reproduced identically with respect to the type of fabrics and their exact arrangement nor to the seams irregularities. Each piece is individually cleaned, laid out, and cut at the Common studio and finished locally in Romania. Each garment comes with an individual tag that tells the story of the included parts, handwritten by the designer.
