One shirt from the man's department was reworked into a dress by adding 'new' deadstock fabric from Readymade Textiles. The contrasting inserts mark the pattern transformation and make the experiment visible to show the shape-shifting powers of upcycling. These parts are rescued from boxes of unwanted items of friends and neighbours after they have decluttered their wardrobes and are combined with all natural deadstock fabrics . The item can not be reproduced identically with respect to the type of fabrics and their exact arrangement nor to the seams irregularities. Each piece is individually cleaned, laid out, and cut at the Common studio and finished locally in Romania.
